Detailed program
This itinerary will show you what places, activities and attractions you could experience during your vacation. However, we are primarily based on an individual approach and are ready to plan a unique program for you according to your personal ideas.
Day 1
Welcome to Tenerife!
Upon arrival, a local guide will be waiting for you and will set you up for exploring the most diverse of the Canary Islands - Tenerife.
He will go through the entire program with you and hand you the rental car keys. Then it's up to you (and the arrival time) whether you head to the accommodation or decide to go straight from the airport to the beach to enjoy the first Canarian rays and the Atlantic Ocean!
El Medáno is a seaside town about 10 minutes from the airport, which we can warmly recommend for modern restaurants, a long sandy beach, or various water sports such as surfing, paddle boarding and windsurfing.
Day 2
Tenerife's 'Machu Picchu' and kayaks
After breakfast, you will go through the mountains in the footsteps of the island's past - you will visit the hidden village - Masca. Several stories and legends are associated with this place, that claim that Masca served as a home and 'refuge' for pirates.
After a short walk you will move closer to the ocean and enjoy lunch at Los Gigantes port - at the 'Giants' (cliffs). Here, the second adventure of the day will await you - a trip to the ocean on kayaks, which our local partners will provide. We also have alternative plans for those who would not like to participate in this activity, but we definitely recommend it! You will have a lot of fun!
Day 3
Forest walks & unique volcanic beaches
After breakfast, you will go on a hike through the prehistoric forest, which in the past covered most of Southern Europe. Still today, you can find it preserved only in Macaronesia - a region of islands in the Atlantic, which also includes the Canary Islands.
For lunch, you will head to the end of the island, to the forgotten village of Benijo, where you will enjoy lunch in one of the local restaurants - here, you will have the opportunity to taste authentic Canarian cuisine. It consists of the gifts of the sea and mostly meat dishes, originating from the times of the 'Guanches' (original inhabitants) and also influenced by the tastes of Latin America.
After lunch, we recommend that you treat yourself to a well-deserved rest on one of the volcanic beaches directly below the village.
Day 4
Sailing at sea
After all those days filled with getting to know the island and many experiences, we will book you a trip on a catamaran, where you will have the opportunity to see whales and dolphins that live in these waters all year round.
We consider this experience to be the 'golden nail' of the holiday (even if you still have a few days ahead of you), and that's why we offer you this trip in the total price of the holiday.
For the rest of the day, we recommend a free program for relaxation. However, if you would like more experiences, we will not skimp on recommendations.
Day 5
Majestic El Teide and tasting of local wines.
What would a holiday in Tenerife be without a visit to the third-highest volcano in the world? Yes, the height of El Teide is measured from the ocean floor (7500 m), but it is 'only' 3718 m above sea level.
Driving through this national park is an unforgettable experience! You will feel like you are on the moon! Here you will have the opportunity to take a walk or take the cable car up to a height of 3555 meters above sea level. Under favorable conditions, you will have views and memories taken care of for the rest of your life!
After visiting the park, we would recommend visiting the local wineries, of which there is really no shortage! We can provide tastings directly in wineries or when visiting the shop of our Spanish friends - Mar de Nubes - where you can find the right souvenirs for family and friends at home. All products in this store are made in Tenerife and the surrounding islands - another way for you to support the local economy and artists/craftsmen.
Day 6
Curiosities of the north
Today awaits you a day packed with culture, food, architecture and lots of interesting things - such as the 'dragon tree', 'volcanic pools' or the journey to the very end of the island - Teno.
After a hearty lunch and an exhausting program, you can head through the banana plantations to the black volcanic beach, which you may have all to yourself!
Alternatively, you can visit towns such as La Orotava or Puerto de la Cruz, which offer many historic buildings and other attractions such as a botanical garden.
Day 7
From sunrise to sunset
We know that on vacation, it would be a sin to get up at 5 am, but not seeing the sunrise over Gran Canaria even once could also be unforgivable. Well, judge for yourself! That's why we have prepared two variants for you - an easy 30-minute ascent or a moderately demanding 1.5-hour one.
After the ascent and the beautiful sunrise, we will leave the program to you. It's only the last day of vacation after all. Of course, we can give you a lot of tips for extra experiences...
Day 8
Goodbye Tenerife!
On the day of your departure, we will meet again at the airport and say goodbye, and we can only hope that you will cherish these days long after you return home!
